Der Ver Der

DVD Cover Dimensions - SIze. - Printing Spec.

Bleed required 3mm.

The measurements given above are exact trimmed sizes and 3 mm bleed should be added on each edge to allow for trim.
When the artwork is trimmed, slight variations can occur so the 3 mm is there to to avoid a white line being shown on trimmed edges.
Finished Artwork Size Including Bleed.

Exact trimmed width is 272mm.
Add 3mm left & right to give a total image width of 278mm.
Exact trimmed height is 184mm.
Add 3mm top & 3mm bottom giving us 190mm in total.
So the dimensions for the front cover that you should produce, including bleed would be 278mm by 190mm. Get it ?
3mm Safe Rule.

No text or detail should be placed closer than 3 mm to trimmed edges or folds, this ensures no loss of detail etc in the folding, trimming process.

Terry Gilliam

Gilliam's Animated Shorts
The animated shorts that Gilliam created are organic pieces, moving along with a twisted purpose. The actions of the animation may appear outrageous to the viewer but the objects performing these actions do them in a logical and completely realized (for them) way. This only renders them even more absurd. Each object and action are unrelated and yet related to the animation preceding it through some sort of (often-incidental) link. An item in one scene (say a car) will play a background part and then open up to be the lead for the next scene. He often creates fully realized stop motion colleges full of images that may seem unrelated to each other but are in fact part of a larger action.

Flying Through

This clip shows how i could use the fly through idea with my own monty python characters. Take no notice of the dogs at the beginning and end of the video, some people obviously have a lot of time on their hands.
